Temperatures generally are expected to be warm enough that this precipitation will mostly fall as rain. If precipitation develops as expected, a brief period of sleet will be possible, especially at onset. Sleet accumulation most likely will be no more than a couple tenths of an inch. A few spots such as sheltered valleys or elevations above 5000 feet may fall or remain below freezing, and experience freezing rain causing a light glaze of ice mainly on elevated surfaces. Plan to drive with extra caution early Thursday morning in the mountains.
